The mission of the Tax Commissioner's Office is to bill, collect, and disburse all taxes as prescribed by the laws of the State of Georgia and to act as the Motor Vehicle tag and title agent for the State. Our goal is to perform these duties efficiently and in a timely manner and to provide our citizens quality customer service.


Linda is a native of Dawson County and attended Dawson County High School and North Georgia College and State University. After graduation for NGCSU Linda began a 35 year career with aircraft manufacturer Lockheed Martin in Marietta, GA and retired in 2004. Linda has been involved in many aspects of Government in the county. She served one term as Mayor of Dawsonville and nine years on the Dawson County School Board

OUR HOURS ARE 8:00-5:00

If your property is under appeal, you were billed at 85% pending the outcome of the appeal and is due by the normal due date December 1, 2011.  Once the appeal is settled, you may receive an adjustment bill. 

The satellite office at 145 Liberty Drive is closed.
